Bhavna joins TIFIN Studios II as Chief Operating Officer with over 23 years of cross-border investing, investment banking, capital markets, M&A, corporate finance, and legal experience across New York, London, Hong Kong, India, and Singapore. She holds a BA. LLB (Honors) from the National Law School of India and a Master’s in Law from Columbia University.

She started her career as an M&A and capital markets lawyer at top New York and London law firms, Davis Polk and Paul Weiss, before moving into investment banking with Morgan Stanley and then leading Citi India’s Capital Markets Business. After this, Bhavna built her own startup funding and advisory firm helping consumer internet startups in India and New York, particularly women-led companies, raise financing from angels and VCs before she joined Private Equity firm Everstone Capital to head Capital Markets and Exits for the platform, based in Mumbai. Over her career, Bhavna has led more than $30bn of capital raises, including IPOs, across a number of sectors and geographies,  deployed more than $2.2 billion of growth capital, and executed $6bn+ of M&A and exits.

She serves on the boards of Just Dial Limited, Kinara Capital, and the Drama School Mumbai.

Given her deep experience in the Indian market, Bhavna will lead Studios projects for the Indian Consumer Finance space as well as leading fundraising, exits, and acquisitions for Studios in the US and India.
